Shadowlight

Shadowlight is a class of starship created by the Shadowkin clans combining dark magic, demon essence as well as the technology and structure of a starship. This means that the ships are “alive’ more than the NDC’s Starbreakers because they can feel any damage to their structure. Those hoping to use the ship will need to shit in the control chair and allow their selves to bond with the ship if this does not happen they will be ejected from the ship entirely. This is in a way like immune response, in trying to get rid of a foreign bacterium away from the body. The only way for passengers to be able to be on board the ship is if the one who owns and has bonded to the ship allows them to do so. The ship can use the darkness of space to travel very far and very fast, but they limited it to their bonded. The bonded can only go where those they are contracted with are, or if they are given exact coordinates and picture where they are supposed to go. The Ship can also create illusions to make itself look bigger and far more dangerous than their enemy ships.

Appearance

The Shadowlight was a ship that appeared to be stuck together, making it appear to be in four parts, the middle, the two wings on either side, and the back engine. On the Bow of the ship, the first thing people will see when facing this ship will be a forward mega cannon. This was the ship's most powerful weapon in the arsenal. It was located in the middle section and under the bridge. The bridge had forward windows that were broken up by a bit of metal in the middle of the windows. When in battle this closes, protecting those inside The Window and the main gun were between the wings of the ship, curved, sharp-looking pointy things almost like a pair of knives which ended where the aft propulsion system was. On the wings were two large thrusters. There were two extra thrusters these were small and looked like they had spikes coming out of them like antennae. Under the ship was an airlock that opened to expel a lift. The starship weapons were retractable and hidden. The ships can come in a variety of colors, but what's the same is that the gradient has a darker coloring on the front while it was lighter behind it.

History

This particular ship was used in the past as a gunship, though they could also be used as a armed transport ship, or ship of bounty hunters. However the ships found lesser use as the Shadowkin were killed off by their enemies. Though much like strongholds, the ships could be found and once the potential user has gone through the bonding trial, they were able to use it.

Development

Shadowkin needed a way to travel through space hunting down their cousins and to perform jobs and get contracts. So their crafter members, and mages used demonic essence, technology and ship parts to create ships they could use. All of their powers and skill went into use to build it.

Activity

Since their construction they were able to create an almost balance between good and evil, and create a less worry about feral demons attacking.

Interior

Compartment Layouts

The interior of the gunship is laid out with the cockpit being to the left of an individual that enters the transport on the left side. Near the entrance, there’s a cabinet for first aid requirements, and the wall, it's attached to ends up in a set of railings that allows the viewing of the lower observation area. In between the railing is a ramp that leads into the Lower observation area for about two steps. Then it’s five steps until the entrance to the cabins.

Bridge

The Bridge has room for two to sit there, and for two to stand behind the pilot seat. The pilot has their own control alcoves, displays, and controls surrounding the pilot seat in a square. The false windshield is just a screen that relays the feed from the hull's embedded optical sensors in real-time to give the illusion of being a window. This is purely for the passengers' benefit as the bonded already see things outside.

Cabins

The bonded has a nice room to themselves with an office on the right side, with a private terminal where the bonded can read and review old emails sent from anywhere. Afoot In front of the Doorway are three stairs that bring one into her actual room. At the back was a queen-sized bed to sleep or uh sleep. Closer towards the door, was a bathroom. There is a sofa on the wall, attached to the office where they can sit and read an assortment of books from the library, or they can lounge back because the model shop across the wall can double as a screen where they can watch movies or watch news reports. There also had a sound system that can play all manner of music that they have a mood for. There is also a photograph of her family on a table on the side. The room had a dark blue and white color theme to it.

Cargo Storage Areas

The cargo area is circular, The middle of the cargo hold is a lift used as an exit. But despite this, along one wall, if a crew member had a vehicle one could be stored here too, along with any other miscellaneous items. At the opposite door to the one used to enter the cargo, or on either side of the lifts, is the door to the engine room.

Ship Systems

Computers and Electronics

The Shadowlight “AI” is a Positronic brain type AI that was converted using the same makeup and technique as the ship. The AI itself was a type of demon that’s of a lower weak type that’s in the service to others. It controls the functions and listens to the Bonded as the Bonded is a higher rank than it. It “merges” with the bonded, allowing for control of the ship. It has a form of Cyberwarfare allowing for the hacking of enemy ships. And it also has a special illusionary power when it can make it appear to be a ship much larger than it really is. The AI can conjure a holo image of itself, and it's called Ifrite.

Emergency Systems

Despite its supernatural origins, it has the same Emergency Systems as any ship.

Life Support Systems

Despite its supernatural origins, it has the same Emergency Systems as any ship.

Propulsion

The Shadowlight class starships have a special ability in how they use their bonds shadow step within the darkness of space and use that as a means performing a style of FTL that’s faster than most starships, almost equal to the Precursor’s Gates.

Exterior

Armor Hull

The hull is made out of a metal alloy that is unknown to the rest of the sector due to the original creators being long dead and the instructions being lost to the ages. But it’s similar to Ultrite.

Shield Systems

Standard shields that protect it from the energy and rocket firing with demonic energy.

Weapons System

Main Cannon

Under the main cockpit was the main Gun, which used the combination of magic and matter in order to attack. This allows the ship to do significant damage to opposing ships. The magic weakens the hull and with the bombardment of matter, penetrates it.

Secondary Guns

The ship has 4 deployable railguns as part of its arsenal. this is deployable on the left and right sides of the ship.

Missile Racks

The ship has 4 missile racks as part of its arsenal. This is deployed at the top and bottom part of the ship.

Ship Illusion

The ship is capable of tricking opponent ships into thinking that the class and size of the ship is much bigger than their own. This has greater success when they hadn’t noticed the ship entering battle.
