Weapons

Rifles

Caliburn Weapons System

The M7 Caliburn weapons system is the standard-issue BAMF issued firearm. It has several configurations for a variety of roles. It exclusively uses a 6.5mm caseless full metal jacket round across each platform.

The Rifle and carbine configurations are roughly the same with the exception of the carbine variant having a much shorter barrel and stock. Both variants come with both iron sights and a Picatinny rail but more often than not excels with a simple reflex sight. The base caliburn also comes with a built-in flip-screen that with a built-in sensor under the barrel works as a short-range life signs detector up to 50m.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 400m.
  • Fire Rate: 700rpm.
  • Capacity: 25 Round magazines.

Fausthammer OST Rifle

The Fausthammer is a rifle specially designed for OST marines in Einherjar armor to use. Weighing almost 20lbs the rifle uses the same 6.5mm round as the Caliburn weapons line but in a helical magazine that is easier for the armored marines to manipulate. Each round is a special-purpose expanding SABOT round made to do the absolute most damage possible.

The Fausthammer also has a lifesigns detector like its cousin rifles able to detect life signs within 50m. It also has an underslung 20mm grenade launcher that can use any of the same grenades as the Gjallahorn grenade launcher.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 500m.
  • Fire Rate: 900rpm.
  • Capacity: 35 Round helical magazines.

Gaebulg Gauss Rifle

The Gaebulg is a heavy rifle chambered in the same 6.5mm caseless ammunition as the Caliburn series of rifles. With the same fire rate and arguably lesser performance due to weighing almost twice what the base Caliburn does it has the unique quirk of when a battery pack and capacitor are activated the rifle changes function entirely as magnetic acceleration rails on the exterior of the barrel charge each round by entire orders of magnitude.

Adding considerable range and ballistic acceleration the Gaebulg accepts magazines loaded with special SABOT-style armor-piercing darts specialy designed to work with the magnetic accelerator and not the base caliburn and are capable of penetrating lightly armored vehicles and easily putting rounds through most any infantry-grade body armor systems. This devastating function comes at the cost of combined arms utility, as the same receiver is capable of enabling automatic fire is locked into a semi-automatic state to ensure the considerable power and recoil of the weapon are not unwieldy. This modification is fickle and considerably tamper-proof as to use it otherwise would likely destroy the internal mechanisms of the weapon and its sensitive but sturdy electronics.

The Gabulg is often paired with an adjustable smart scope able to switch from 2x magnification to up to 8x magnification. The smart aspect of the optic is only in its functionality of adding features like adjustable zoom levels, basic nightvision, FLIR heat-detection, and a basic rangefinder and does not do anything such as aim the weapon for the weilder.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 500m base, 700m +/- Guass.
  • Fire Rate: 900rpm / 120 rpm.
  • Capacity: 25 Round magazines.

Long Rifles

Caliburn DMR

The marksman variant of the Caliburn is longer and more direct in its function as a weapons system. Removing the seer for automatic fire the weapon is limited to semi-automatic fire but trades the loss for a longer and heavier barrel with more twist in the rifling. An adjustable marksman stock and flashhider/muzzle dampener and gas break helps keep the weapon under control for consecutive shots as well as helping to hides its profile.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 1km.
  • Fire Rate: 120rpm.
  • Capacity: 20 round magazines.

Longinus Anti Material Rifle

The Longinus is a heavy rifle bored and rifled to fit a 12.7×108mm cartridge. The rifle is designed to combat light vehicles though it has some limited anti-infantry utility. The rifle has a 5-round side-loaded magazine and a built-in deployable bipod. Shooting this rifle unbraced or without the protection of OST armor can bruise or even fracture the shoulder or arms.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 1.3km.
  • Fire Rate: 60rpm.
  • Capacity: 5 round magazines.

Support Weapons

Caliburn Support Variant

The support variant of the Caliburn is heavier with a reinforced heavy barrel, built-in deployable tripod, and foregrip for increased control. And while it can use the standard 20-round magazines it has a specially designed magwell to accept 50-round drum magazines. While comparatively low in drum-capacity compared to most firearms of its role the support variant has proven a staple for support gunners by offering considerable accuracy and reliability and offers exemplary barrel life compared to other support weapons that wear down after prolonged engagement. These traits allowed BAMF support gunners to outclass their competition in the old war when firefights became constantly protracted and BAMF came out on top due to better training and equipment.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 400m.
  • Fire Rate: 700rpm.
  • Capacity: 50 Round drums.

Caladbolg Heavy Machinegun

The Caladbolg is a heavy, drum fed bullpup machinegun designed for OST marines in Einherjar armor. The weapon fires the same 6.5mm caseless bullet as the Caliburn weapons line but exclusively in an exapanding SABOT bullet and in a much larger 200-round drum with firerate so opressive that without the servo motor support of OST armor it would be uncontrollable. Even still a side-handle is installed for leading fire. Despite its nature as a heavy machinegun the Caladbolg is not much of an anti-vehicle weapon when faced against medium or heavier vehicles.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 400m.
  • Fire Rate: 2,000rpm.
  • Capacity: 200 Round drums.

Grenade Launchers

Gjallahorn 20mm

The Gjallahorn is a 20mm pump-action shotgun with considerable utility and is issued to OST armored marines. With a wide variety of grenade types, it is a useful shock and awe weapon for firing in the air or in close proximity to enemies with little risk of damaging your armor. The Gjallahorn comes with a 10-round magazine or a 20-round drum.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 100m.
  • Fire Rate: 60rpm.
  • Capacity: 10/20 round magazine or drum.

Sidearms

Gladius Handgun

The M5 Gladius Personal Defense Weapon System is the standard firearm series used by the Babel Armed Military Force - 'BAMF'. They are magazine fed and typically fire 4.3 mm caseless rounds. One of the favoured attachments is a underslung launcher, capable of firing a 12 gauge shotgun shell, a 20mm grenade, a climbing hook, flares and other exotics materials.

Cerberus Revolver

A more ornate sidearm favored by officers. The Cerberus is a revolver chambered in 12.7×41mmSR with a five round capacity.

Golem Gun

Primarily issued to Golems for the purpose of killing other Gol with a weapon capable of often penetrating their war masks. The Golem Gun is a heavy revolver with absolute stopping power as its basis.

With five 50. caliber rounds in a cylinder the weapon has insurmountable recoil; While this is not impossible for most marines to wield, it is a popular sidearm for members of the BAMF Offensive Shock Troopers 'OST' or Assault-type Golems.

The Golem Gun comes with a flip-up dot-sight, a built in laser, and a flashlight.

Explosives

Hand-Axe Explosive Charge

Hand-Axe is a staple demolition charge issued to BAMF demolitionists. At 4.4kg it is a light charge capable of disabling small vehicles, walls, and obstacles. The force is Omnidirectional and is directed in all directions.

The charge can be secured with an adhesive strip already on its back, tying it, or simply leaving it on a surface. It can be detonated with a timer on the side which can go for up to 60-seconds, or by a remote clacker detonator.

Seminal Charge

A brick of plastique explosives the Seminal charge is a powerful explosive charge capable of absolutely devestating some vehicles, crippling armor, destroying the entire sides of buildings, or getting through armored obstacles. The charge can be secured with an adhesive strip already on its back, tying it, or simply leaving it on a surface. It can be detonated with a timer on the side which can go for up to 60-seconds, or by a remote clacker detonator.

Puck Charge

Roughly the size of one, the Puck charge is a small puck-sized breaching charge that uses a shaped charge to punch throguh doors, walls, and armor. The charge has little high-explosive value and is best used for opening armored doors, hatches, or airlocks as it wont damage anything except what is standing directly on the other side.

Flat-Mine

The flat-mine is a capable anti-personnel charge tha can be applied to surfaces using adhesive strips on the back. When someone or something passes within ten feet in front of the sensors of this mine it will detonate a directional charge in a 45-degree cone infront of it sending a concussive blast and shrapnel.

Misc Weaponry

Huilu Flamethrower

The Huilu is an OST issued flamethrower with small armored disposible tanks of a fast-acting napalm-like solution. It is wielded by OST due to the protection their armor offers and the fact that few other than OST or Gol are armored enough to get within flamethrower distance to an enemy.

The Flamethrower comes with a protective shrowd, easily changeable tank, laser, and nozzle.

  • Optimal Range: +/- 50m.

Boarding Ax

Favored by OST, the boarding ax is a heavy, studded ax with crushing, cutting, and blunt capabilities used by OST to rend through obstacles. It particularly was found to be a good weapon for dealing with particularly armored or hard-to-hit Gol when it was inevitable that they would close in for melee combat.
