The Morfisphere is the 9th sphere of the Corporeal Rift. It is an ever-changing, ever-shifting dreamscape with no consistent terrain or qualities.

The rules and behavior of the Morfisphere are generally consistent with that of a dream, with a few exceptions:

• Creatures can pass through from their own dreams to those of other creatures in the Morfisphere.
• People have awareness as though they are awake.
• The environment is less chaotic, unpredictable, and more grounded.

Often peoples surroundings in the Morfisphere reflect those of memories they have, or sometimes of dreams they have had or you would expect them to have.

Occasionally, someone may dream of the Morfisphere. When this happens, they stay in the spot they are sleeping, but an “avatar” of them appears in the Morfisphere which can be interacted with normally. If that person would die or become unconscious, they simply awaken. Otherwise, this avatar behaves effectively the same as they would if they were really there.

Dreams of the Morfisphere can occur for a huge plethora of reasons. You are not obligated to explain why a character has them. Regardless, here are some common reasons:

• Called there by an undefined entity or some other eldritch abomination or being of great power.
• Some suited individuals occasionally dream of the Morfisphere.
• Some characters with latent or active divination powers may feasibly dream of the Morfisphere, even if they are unaware they are suited.
• Intentionally, through some magical spell or metamagic ritual.

The following is a list of shards, and whether or not characters from them are allowed to dream of the Morfisphere. If a shard is not present here, ask the shard's manager.

Some of these shards have in-character limitations for people leaving or arriving in the setting. The above list only applies to dreaming or appearing as a doppelgänger, not visiting physically. Ask shard managers if in doubt.

Morfian doppelgängers are unintelligent entities that mimic the forms of people and creatures in others' dreams and memories, usually with uncanny accuracy.

Although they are not capable of much more themselves, these doppelgängers often replicate behaviours and mannerisms of people and creatures effortlessly, though sometimes with a sort of “shallowness” that may hint that they are not the original.
