Arusi

Arusi is the moon in orbit around the Planet Prazoa.

History

arusi.jpegThe Moon Arusi formed because of extensive labor and technology to prevent a Rogue planet that would eventually be named Planet Pele from smashing into newly formed Planet Prazoa or causing havoc with the planet Prazoa's construction. While this pushed the planet closest to the sun, the gravitation effect caused a few pieces of the planet to rip off the now molten hot world as well as pieces of Prazoa which met with the other pieces and the gravity effect forced them into one new smaller world called a moon. It was thought that this moon would prove beneficial to Prazoa in terms of the effect it had on the tides, allowing for the islands and continents to be safe. Due to the desire for the land to be used as civilian settlements and farms. The Military was allowed to use an area on the moon as their base, though there were defense platforms to use as well.

Atmosphere

Arusi’s Atmosphere like most moons on a non gas giant based planet has an atmosphere so thin as to be nearly vacuum, with a total mass of less than 10 tonnes (9.8 long tons; 11 short tons). The surface pressure of this small mass is around 3 × 10−15 atm (0.3 nPa); it varies with the lunar day. Its sources include outgassing and sputtering, a product of the bombardment of lunar soil by solar wind ions. Arusi’s element has been detected include sodium and potassium, produced by sputtering (also found in the atmospheres of Pele); helium-4 and neon from the solar wind; and argon-40, radon-222, and polonium-210, outgassed after their creation by radioactive decay within the crust and mantle. The absence of such neutral species (atoms or molecules) as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen and magnesium, is not understood. Water vapor has been detected by Station Omacron’s sensors and drones and found to vary with latitude, with a maximum at ~60–70 degrees; it is possibly generated from the sublimation of water ice in the icm the formerly rogue planet. These gases either return into the regolith because of the Arusi’s gravity or are simply lost to space, either through solar radiation pressure or, if they are ionized, by being swept away by the solar wind's magnetic field.

Orbit

Prazoa has a pronounced axial tilt caused by a combination of construction and the gravity of Secunda, and Pele. And like most moons, its orbit is not affected by the axis, but lies close to Prazoa’s orbital plane.

Because of tidal locking, like most moons, Arusi’s rotation around its own axis is synchronized to its orbit around the planet. This in effect means that the moon completes an orbit concerning the star once every 28 Prazoan days. the effect of the planet moving in its orbit around the Star at the same time means that it takes a lot longer for Arsi to show the same phase to earth, which is about 29 days in its synodic period.

Unlike most moons of other planets, Arusi orbits closer to the ecliptic plane rather than Prazoa’s equatorial plane. The Star and Prazoa subtly bothered its orbit in small complex and interacting ways. 1) Because of Arusi’s tilt the moons, solar visibility varies much less with the season 2) From images taken by scientists, it appears that four mountainous regions on the rim of the crater Arusi Moon Base at the Moon’s north pole may remain illuminated for the entire lunar day, creating peaks of eternal light. No such regions exist at the south pole. Similarly, some places remain in permanent shadow at the bottoms of many polar craters. Outside of the base, and most of the moon, including the southern craters are excessively cold. Temperature scanners measured the lowest summer temperatures at the southern poles at 279.4 degrees Fahrenheit. This was said to be the coldest place in the system.

Arusi phases

As a moon, Arusi will have a Lunar month, these are primarily the Phases of the moon from Prazoa.

  • New Moon
  • Waxing Crescent Moon
  • First Quarter Moon
  • Waxing Gibbous Moon
  • Full Moon
  • Waning Gibbous Moon
  • Third Quarter Moon
  • Waning Crescent Moon

Tidal Effect

The Tidal effect of Prazoa’s oceans is primarily caused by Arusi’s position to the planet. The gravitational attraction that mass has for one another decreases inversely with the square of the distance of those masses from each other. This causes, as a result, the slightly greater attraction that Arusi has for the side of Prazoa closest to the Moon, as compared to the part of the Arusi opposite the Moon, results in tidal forces. Tidal forces affect both the planet's crust and oceans. This causes the effect of causing two bulges in the planet's oceans, one on the side facing the Moon and the other on the side opposite. This is the Ocean tides and without Arusi, it appears that the oceans would swallow the islands, as well as the continents thus proving the benefits that Arusi has on Prazoa.

Arusi Locations

Dusk Orbital Guard Base

The military presence in the Secunda Major System is strategically positioned across various key locations to ensure comprehensive defense coverage and operational readiness. At the heart of this defensive network lies the Arusi Moon Base, serving as a central command and logistical hub for military operations within the system. Situated strategically, it acts as a crucial staging ground for deploying forces, coordinating missions, and conducting surveillance across the entire system.
