The main nation of the Onikari on Hassan, until it's collapse as a nationstate at the end of the Last War of Hassan. An ancient empire that aspired to expand itself beyond it's mountain home into the lands beyond, the only people who could argue it's historical founding would be the elves, and they note that the Dursan Clan had long been a powerful one, enough to unify the clannish Onikari.

Demographics
While the primary citizenry of Dursan is that of the nation is that of Onikari, there were many of those whom they had subjugated who lived under their rule, leading to a fairly mixed populace that was beginning to see shift towards equalizing rights between Onikari and non-Onikari when the war began. The difficulty is, census data is hard to find giving any hard facts about the population, but modern speculation is that 75% of the population was Onikari. This was mainly due to the Onikari often driving the other races out of the lands the Empire claimed, though some remained to become part of the Empire's population.
Population

Language
The official language of the nation was that of Kartari2), the Onikari language, but it's used almost exclusively for formal matters and functions, while Hassan Common is the primarily spoken, written and used language, as is the case with most nations of Hassan when the Last War began.
Religion
One of the major religions of the Dursan Empire is that of Ganta. It is built less on deific worship, and more on general spiritual faith. “All things have a Spirit, and all Spirits have a thing they watch over.” is a common saying. The Imperial Family was also held in high regard in this respect, as they are seen as an extension of the spirit world alongside the clergy. It has seen a great decline amongst Onikari after the Last War, many of whom had their faith tested to the point of falling out of it.
An important facet of this faith is that while all genders may worship, it is almost universally females who are the practicing clergy. This isn't because males are unwelcome, but rather, a cultural view of the woman being more in tune with the spirits than the man.

Optional. Are the people of this Nation educated? If so, to what extent and where? If not, why?
Government and Politics
The government functioned similar to a republic in that many of it's high level governmental officials were elected, with a Prime Minister to lead them, the Emperor/Empress would have the final say on any nation-wide acts. Often times, this worked with the Council3), Prime Minster and his/her Cabinet presenting a plan of action they wished to undertake to the Imperial Family, but it could go in reverse, with a edict from the Imperial Family being given to the Council and Prime Minister, for them to work out how to make the edict happen.
While the Imperial Family is hereditary, with the next Emperor or Empress being the eldest child of the current ruler, their partner is chosen usually for political security or benefit, though love was not unheard of, just uncommon. This meant that the nobility that remained in Dursan (usually the other leading clans at the time of the Empire's founding from records and testimonies) would vie for the political capital of gaining the future ruler's hand. But while they could influence the choice, they themselves would never gain the actual power as the Dursan family was infamous with it's efforts and ruthlessness to ensure that the one to become the next ruler would not be a puppet to the Clans they ruled over.
