Before the days of chaos, Henry lived with his wife Evelyn, a half elf he had been married to for some years. He was an enlisted with the Colonial Guardsman of the colony, but served as reserve, for better or for worse. As the Collapse began, his superiors abandoned the base, and immediately discharged all of those who were stationed there. This included him as in shock and awe of these turn of events, him and his comrades laid claim to all they could in the meager stockpiles that were present. Suffice it to say, in the days that came, life went to hell as the Collapse ran its course.

Neighborhoods fell into chaos, as local government and agencies began to fail one by one, eventually creating a no man's land free for all to survive. This eventually lead to the death of his wife Evelyn, as their home was set afire while he was away one day. Certain his daughter who had been away for college, was certainly dead as well, decided to go to the place where he had proposed to his late wife. There he was planning to take his own life on his own terms.

On his way to his final destination, Henry would encounter Douglas, someone unexpectedly important to him in the future. Setting aside his goal of suicide for the immediate feature, traveled with Doug to train them in all he knew on how to survive, but eventually was dissuaded from it by their companionship. In the following months, their group has begun to grow bit by bit, including the reunion with his thought to be dead daughter Kanna. It was only recently that he confessed to his original plans to Douglas, now named Delilah as they had been mutated into a female dark elf. It was then he had also confessed his growing feelings for her that had come about during her period of change, and finally with the acceptance of her transformation.

Tall and fit, with a well toned yet athletically lean build, Henry stands at six foot even in height. His face can be considered rough, stubble apparent on his lower face, which has cropped up in recent months after the collapse. His black hair is kept short, though he can never seem to keep it from becoming unkempt. His somewhat tired eyes, frame silver irises that are always observing the world with a sense of skeptical caution. His clothes tend to be plain and practical, preferring the more rugged pairing of jeans, lumberjack flannel, and heavy duty boots.

Generally rather stoic and focused, Henry is one dedicated to survival for him and his people above all else. This can sometimes make him seem uncaring, or cold to those outside the group, but it is his way of trying to minimize risk and keep his group safe.
