In a sea of political turmoil and strife, Artezia is a beacon of goodness and capability. Her beauty and charm make her easy to envy. She has used these qualities to move up the political ladder on her own merits, though the backing of the prestigious Glaupner family hasn't hurt.

All of that is surface-level. What few know is that her public persona is a mask, covering her true intentions of seeing to the eventual, painful death of those who wronged her long ago. She practices with guns and swords in secret, builds information networks, and leverages the weaknesses of others to see her goals realized.

Fortunately for the Republic, Artezia wants what's best for its people. Anyone who disagrees is simply in the way.

Artezia led a sheltered life early on, enjoying the attention and love of her parents and their estate's staff. She knew little of the world outside, but had little desire for it. Things were good.

That changed when her family was slaughtered before her. She had been tucked into a wardrobe and told to stay quiet, forced to watch the entire scene through a crack between the doors. Only her hands holding tight to her mouth spared her from the same fate. She could make out few details of her family's killers and would only later find out that their deaths had been politically motivated. Her father and his ideals were in the way of someone's plan to enrich themselves - so they'd had him removed.

It took time for her to recover. She roamed the estate's halls and rooms, full of bloodied corpses, scavenging for what food she could find. She'd never had to be on her own before. Without intervention, she would have starved to death.

That was not to be, however. A small mercenary group had been hired to find out why her family had gone missing. When they found the emaciated young girl and heard her story, they knew that revealing her survival would get her - and possibly them - killed.

For the next several years, a young boy by the name of “Arty” grew up with the mercenary band, learning how they fought and eventually going to combat alongside them. She found ways to secure her family's estate and fortune behind the scenes with their help, though she could not make use of any of it without raising suspicions.

A fateful encounter where she rescued the head of the Glaupner family would eventually bring her back into prominence as the rising, previously hidden daughter of the Glaupner family. With the support of her mercenary family in the shadows and the Glaupner's public influence, she at last had the pieces she needed to take revenge on the people who ruined her life - and revenge she would have.

Artezia is tall and thin, with subdued curves and an elegant nature. Her light steps and winning smile have drawn the eyes of many. Her emerald green eyes and long, brilliantly blonde hair, always accented by well-chosen outfits make her a standout beauty in any room.

Beneath the costume are carefully-concealed scars from training and battles. Her grace stems largely from the combat skills that were (lovingly) beaten into her from a young age; much care has been taken to hide her martial skills by tutors within the Glaupner family's trust and make sure that she presents herself as the ideal lady in public.

The few who see her true self experience the coldness of her eyes and the malevolence hidden behind her smile without the crafted veneer she shows to the world at large.

Artezia is a duality - the charming, beautiful public figure who stirs the hearts of the masses and the cold, calculating killer that she truly is. She never reveals her true self unless the situation warrants it, but behind every warm, perfect smile lurks an unseen predator.

Artezia is a major player within the shadows of the political realm. She knows and makes use of assassins, informants, and other seedy types, all while having the power to make them submit through whatever means is required. Her normally demure appearance hides her skill at arms and tactical knowledge. The fire of revenge burns blindingly hot within her heart, pushing her to master one skill after another until every tool in her arsenal is razor sharp.

That said, she is no match for any true, career soldier. She is more than able to hold her own, but in a prolonged fight, subterfuge is her greatest ally.
