The Kraken was created by Nyx Pine as a way to stop piracy or criminals aligned starships in place without using an EMP that could potentially harm innocent Cyborgs force to be attached to the ships. She used a combination of a conversation with her contact in the NDC’s Department of Research and Development, as well as strange visions she’d get sometimes.

The Kraken is a special kamikaze ship stopper type drone that is deployed by certain ships of the New Dusk Conclave, as well as possibly others if given the specs of the drone. The ship can be a preferred method of capturing ships in replacement of using Emps, which may or may not damage innocent Cyborgs that are forced to connect to pirate star ships.

To capture a ship, it shoots out, and expels additional drones from its body, which soon emit a electromagnetic field in an opaque red color, that forms what appears to be tentacles. The tentacles wrap around the ship and using special suction cups, it attaches to the ship and begins dripping into it with strong appendages that dig in, and then attaches to the electrical systems and slowly stops the ship's mobility.The drone is programmed to steal the energy from all ship systems, except for life-support, which means the ship is stuck since it can’t go anywhere.

It is made in black and red coloring for stealth in space, but it can be made in multiple coloring. Each drone is about 36 inches or 3 feet. The ship is designed to look like a squid in terms of roundness, but with a pointier head, for penetration. it is not known visually where its optics or eyes were, as the body is smooth to the touch.

It is powered by a small plasma battery, but it is able to use the energy it absorbed or the ship’s energy it’s attached to to aid its power needs.

It moves using a miniscule ships engines as well as parts that make up Flight Matrix.

It is made out of base materials Ultrite for all of its metal. It was chosen for its durability not only from the heat but radiation as well.
