Zuphin
The Zuphin are a species that for the most part could easily be mistaken for humans. They are a durable race of brave beings who will not quit in the face of adversity. Despite losing a home, and having to fight an evil nation, they were able to gain a new one, and they were able to forge a new nation as a result of cooperation with other species. This means that as a species they know that together they are strong while separate they are weak. The idea that together a group is strong is an idea that is common throughout the sector. Though what sets the Zuphin apart from humans is that instead of fearing what they didn’t understand as some humans did, instead they tried to learn things, and it was why when they met the beast-like Anthros they didn’t fear them, instead they greeted them as a friend and it formed a bond that would last them for a long time.

Creation
The Zuphin came because of an accident when a Precursor scientist had carried an embryo of a human passed a table containing a slug-like creature undergoing a strange mutation that the scientists were researching. Another scientist accidentally bumped the first, causing the first to toss the container with the embryo fell into the Slug enclose and the container broke, expelling the embryo which attracted the slug’s attention and it came to the embryo and ate it. The Slug’s mutation caused it to accept the human genes within it and it transformed into a new race. The Near Humans which the scientists called Zuphin.
History
Ever since their creation and their ability to follow orders, a group of Precursors began using them as a slave race and they caused harm to them, making the Zuphin label them as the Dark Masters. The Zuphin tolerated this until two rose up and became leaders of a rebellion and they fought these dark masters and gained an upper hand when they acquired technology to fly in space. The Rebels decided to take the opportunity by sending their young with their families so that no more of their kind would die at the hands of the Dark Masters while the Rebels distracted them. The Dark Masters ended the war by obliterating them with the system, destroying all nine planets, and creating a nebula as the atmosphere gas flew away. Unfortunately for the Dark Masters, they got caught in the blast. As for the escaping Zuphin, they found a new system and new home in a structure that was created by another group of the Precursors. They gained access and settled in before they sent out explorers intending to look for fresh places to expand to, or new friends potentially. They discovered the Animadae and, instead of fearing them for their appearance; they greeted them as friends. With the Anthros joining them together, they began greeting others and inducted them into an Alliance of sorts.
Habitat and Population
The Zuphin can thrive in tropical environments as well as in environments humans can live in. Their knack for technology and knowledge of Precursor tech allows them to know how to use that technology and use the structure in their new home system. In terms of population, they are rare outside their home system, but their offspring will likely be more common.
Biology
The Zuphin are a carbon-based life form as such, it can consume the food of humans and other carbon-based life forms with no allergic effects.
Anatomy and Physiology
Much like their human ancestors, the average Zuphin male stands at Male: 176.5 cm while an average female would be shorter at Female: 163 cm. Depending on what the Zuphin has to eat, their height may in fact vary from 60 to 80 kg. As a result of the genetics coming from a single source, the skin color can be white of the Zuphin spends their time indoors, but they can tan if they work outdoors. Their bodies tend to grow muscle at a faster rate than most humans, it wouldn’t be uncommon for a Zuphin child to be muscular as a result of their sports, though the musculature of a child is lesser than a teenager which would have more muscles as would an adult only to have them gone when they reach seniority. The species, for the most part, exhibits a sexual trait common among hominid species, in a primary bell curve of male to female for the most part. But As a result of the Slug’s mutation, the Zuphin can receive traits of both male and female of varying degrees. Zuphin are warm-blooded, as such cold environments wouldn’t be comfortable unless they are wearing proper outfits for the environment. They can adapt to hot and warmer climates easily, but won’t be able to be in environments of volcanoes.
Genetics
Zuphin can have intercourse with almost any species in the Sector, and be able to have offspring with them. However, a unique gene within their semen causes an effect for certain offspring with a dramatic difference in appearance from the mother species, or the fathers depending on who the Zuphin was. The offspring will of course have some traits of their mother species if their father was Zuphin, but they will look greatly like their father. 2) The offspring won’t look Anthro if their mother’s race was an Animadae, at least not completely as they would have a human face, though they might have animal-based ears or they may have half their body based on an animal. The term Near Human came from this effect.
Life Cycle
The species since its creation can be further created as a result of intercourse. After a 12 month gestation period, where the child is born, via the aid of a doctor or midwife. The stages of their life and lifespans are the exact same as any human being. This part is one of those things that are the same as their human counterpart.
Diet
The Zuphin are omnivores, they can eat fruit and vegetables as well as meat.
Biological Variation
Much like humans Zuphin are a diverse people. They have some of the same blood types as humans from AB, A ,B, C, D, and O as well as a Z type blood. The Z types are caused by an enzyme when the Zuphin is cloned, it’s a way to detect clones in the species. Some Zuphin can have hair, with varying colors, but it is possible that a Zuphin or group were born without hair, and that they’d never grow hair. Their eyes also have different coloring, including the possibility to have a bioluminescent eyes. Their skin color is only those of Caucasian species of humans, but it can change depending on light exposure. The average Zuphin is a stocky build with lots of muscles while seniors are skinny.

Motivation and Emotion
What mainly drives the species is cooperation. Being good and helpful is the top tier of what’s important. It would not be unheard of for Zuphin youths to be carrying bags for elderly individuals and kids. Zuphin men and women likely would be the first to volunteer to help out schools and anywhere that volunteers are needed. The rest of their motivations ad motions are the same as humans, though greed isn’t high on their list of motivations, they are interested in money and understand its need.

Language
They speak common to other species and races, though they have their own language which has been called Zuphinii 3)
Naming
They would refer to each other as Frater 4) This is from their Rebellion roots. Their Naming follows a different way of naming.
The Arts
They don’t have too much in the way of art, despite being a millennia since they escaped, they only just now started getting artists and that’s only after they have learned from others. This is the same for Music and paintings and such. As they are a part of the UNS they will learn there.
Attire
Zuphin tends to wear form-fitting clothes that allow him to run and do various activities without clothes getting in the way. It would not be unheard of for them to be without clothes if they felt it would be better for them. When interacting with non-Zuphin they would wear clothes as most species may prefer to wear clothes.

Their philosophy will likely match that of the United Alliance of Neutral Systems as they had a influence on the nation.
Society
Kinship
When two Zuphin love each other they date, and eventually, after a period they get married. Then they have families by sticking what they call a Key (male genitals) into the lock (you get the point) and after a 12 month gestation period families form with kids. Things like a single-gender couple aren't an issue for them.
Government and Politics
Before they organized themselves into cells so that their enemies do not find all of them. This organized into provincial governments when they were able to escape. Like the United Alliance of Neutral Systems they also formed a council, with a representative on the UNS’s own council to front Zuphin interests. Their leadership is decided on merit and morality.
Conflict
Zuphin are a race that knows how it felt to be attacked and dominated as such this has developed into a race that was peaceful and they influenced that in the new United Alliance of Neutral Systems. All issues are decided on a tribunal, though, as a zuphin won’t harm anyone this is likely just an accident, that may end up causing a non Zuphin to be hurt and some may want to be aggressive to gain financial reward.
