The Huzar Republic is, according to its declaration of principles and state policies, it is a democratic and republican state. Where in the sovereignty and government authority of the Republic resides within all citizens of the Huzar Republic. The Republic consists of 3 core worlds commonly known as the trinity of worlds. This is where most functions of the Republic occur, and economic output comes from. It also has multiple space colonies, roughly 16 major ones and various small ones located within their systems.

Regarding the 3 planets of the “trinity of worlds”, their names are Nuevo Hasan, Relèvement, Esperar.

Nuevo Hasan being the main world where the central government sits in. On this planet lays the main seats of government meet regarding the Executive, Judicial and Legislative on the Republic’s major agendas, with the Legislative branch sitting on this world primarily. It is a fairly balanced world with agricultural and industrial works being balanced in the world. It’s capital is what could be considered as a “country size city state” city called La Reunion, the name being given to the city in honor of the reunion of the Republic’s elements following it’s exodus from Hassan. It is also home to the Prime Minister/Premier who is the head of the Congressional government within the legislature.

While on Relèvement, this world is seen as the economical powerhouse of the Republic where most of it’s industry and resources come from, not to mention it’s larger cities and hotspots for immigration, this is where the Judicial branch of government has it’s main offices. On this planet holds a sizable middle-class population which also a fairly sizable immigrant and lower class population. It’s planetary capital is named Maynilad, a major industrial and trading city. It’s where a huge majority of metals, manufacturing and development comes from. Alongside that would be the main economical center of the Republic, second to that would be La Reunion’s economic center and stock exchange.

Lastly on Esperar, it is a currently terraforming world where in projects regarding colonization studies, terraforming and rejuvenation studies are handled. This is where the top educational centers are mainly located; with all having satellite branches on the other worlds and colonies as mandated by law in order to ensure some equality and dispersal of archival material. It is also the seat of the executive office, that being the Offices of the President, Vice President and another office of the Prime Minister/Premier. It is also the place where the Commander in Chief, that being the President, operates the Armed Forces of the Republic which is also headquartered on Esperar, with offices in the other two worlds as well.

Aside from that there are the 16 space colonies which are made from the original shuttles that the Republic used in order to leave Hassan. These colonies are actually the bodies of the original 8 major shelters that the Republic was born from which was then turned into space capable facilities that once in orbit could be propelled towards the direction they intended to head towards, that being the “trinity of worlds” that they so desperately placed their bets on; especially as they do not like the NDC much and often try to avoid giving the Hasan Collective any chance of leverage over the Republic then they already have to an extent. They were divided into two each resulting into the 16 major space colonies which can house up to 10 million people but are often kept from full capacity through the smaller colonies.

The Republic’s main ideological and principle stance is a old-world Liberal Republican thinking which was believed to come from Hassan centuries before the wars which ruined the planet. It is the very basis of how the Republic was formed and why it was formed. This method of government and belief were mostly abandoned by the time the wars came along and heavily suppressed those ideals in the process. However by the time the world of Hassan was already becoming hostile to it’s habitants. These old-world thoughts were able to resurrect itself amongst the intellectual types who realized how the world could’ve been if the wars didn’t destroy the planet. It mostly generated a revival of the liberal ideology in the shelters which had protected people, not to mention a planetary belief in hoping that one day the world can be restored.

It was this mindset that ended up forcing the formation of the Republic amongst like minded shelters following the formation of the New Dusk Conclave which had the idea to leave Hassan. This enraged various shelters especially in matters believing that the world must be abandoned. Soon enough 8 shelters decided to declare the formation of a new government in hopes of saving the planet if possible. This was the beginning of the Republic, known as the Hassan Emergency Administrative League(H.E.A.L.) However it failed, especially since most of the planets’ resources got allocated towards to the New Dusk Conclave. With the H.E.A.L. failing to do what it was intended to do and failed to convince other shelters. After 10 years of the NDC leaving, it was decided to form the Huzar Republic. Named after the planet but also named in regards to the chant “huzah” and also remembering the Hussars of old, which often were the strike force of old armies. It was a name agreed upon by the original 8 and other shelters who didn’t side with the NDC or Collective. With what scraps they had left, they decided to leave and head towards any systems that can handle life.

Soon enough, once they’ve established themselves on their new home systems, they’ve rapidly repopulated and built their infrastructure across their planets. However, it is well known that there’s a lot more work to be done to restore the abilities of pre-war nations and bring back such rich times. There is also a sizable force within the Republic that ended up mandating within the Constitution that should the ability to return to Hassan and restore the world be found by the Republic, the Republic will immediately get to that goal to rectify the mistakes of the past.

The Demographics of the Republic are shaped in a way that is very much a mess that only a Federation of people under one Republic could turn out. However in this matter there is also the umbrella term of the “Latyn” people that must be also taken note of. In this regard the Republic’s Statistics Agency has managed to organize the following in a general sense and categorizing the following 420 Million people within the Republic into various groups.

The government runs on a Semi-Presidential Federal Republic, in where the government is a federalized system regarding legislature and the minor courts. Congress at the same time has someone who is able to lead the body politic as a unified branch of government under the Prime Minister who is the head of the Congress(above the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House). The Judicial branch is for the most part federalized aside from the rulings and orders of the Supreme Court. Then there is the Control branch of the government which handles government watchdog duties and the Examination branch of government which handles government exams for civil service. There are also 4 constitutional commissions, they are: Commission on Sentient Rights, Commission on Audit, Civil Service Commission, and Commission on Election.

The Office of the President and Vice President are the two highest offices within the Republic. Their offices are responsible in the diplomatic, military and domestic agenda decisions for the Republic. They are also able to pass executive orders on a limited basis which can be counter acted by Congress and the Courts should they be deemed unconstitutional. The President and Vice President must belong to the same coalition/political party when they take office. Elections occur every 6 years with no re-election. Vice Presidents may run for the office of the President in the future however the President cannot do the same when going towards the Office of the Vice President..

The Congress of the Republic is made out of two houses of congress. These houses are the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate has over 300 seats, having 4 senators per federal state. While the House of Representatives has over 1000 seats in Congress, with 100 seats dedicated to special interest groups known as “partylists”. Often most Congressional agendas are divided to committees for voting instead of having the entirety of Congress vote on the matter unless someone invokes the matter to vote on the matter Senate or House wide with 1/3rd the vote within the committee. The Senate and House have their respective heads of congress, being the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House. However they are managed by the office of the Prime Minister who handles the entirety of Congress and is often seen as the Executive’s pusher/detractor of executive agendas depending on the situation. Congress also holds the reserve right to sign the republic into alliances and declare war. Local federal and local goverment unit(LGU) legislatures vary in form and ability in the other hand and have similar operating abilities of Congress minus diplomatical ability.

The Judicial branch of government, being the Supreme Court at the top. It is the highest court in the country and is often the court of last resort. Their rulings often become law unless it violates the constitution/creates a constitutional crisis. The highest office is the Chief Justice who organizes the Supreme Court. Members of the Supreme Court are selected by the office of the Prime Minister and President before Congressional review. There are 25 seats within the court Under them are 3 major courts, Court of Appeals(which handles Federal courts and downwards), Sandiganbayan(which handles criminal and civil cases committeed by public officers and employees including government owned/controlled/operated corporations), Court of Tax Appeals(which handles appeals involving internal revenue tax and customs cases of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue and the Commissioner of Customs, respectively). The 3 courts are all of equal rank and are akin to be their “little supreme courts” at certain times. However it is the Court of Appeals which handles most cases and has say in Federal, Municipal, County, City and Religious-based courts as their parent organization.

The 4 government Commissions, being the Commission on Sentient Rights, Commission on Audit, Commission on Election and Civil Service Commission have their respective responsibilities. The Commission on Sentient Rights handles cases of government and private abuse of sentient beings; often creates their reports regarding the matter. Commission on Audit is often seen as the “4th branch” of government as it is the audit of government action and financial spending and reports to the courts, legislature and executive offices on their findings. Commission on Elections(COMELEC) handles elections. Civil Service Commission handles the examination and inspects the quality of civil servants within the government Bureaucracy.

There is also a sizable welfare system which mainly offers universal healthcare(not entirely paid by the state, it depends on case to case basis) and what is often referred to as “basic”(basic living standard support, BLSS), which offers basic accommodates such as an apartment, food stamps and some sort of job if available. However, most citizens do not inquire for basic and are also likely out of the grid on purpose, so they a fair amount live in squatter conditions to the job they work at. These squatters have multiple names, from favelaz to settlement inpormal.

Note: Most of the structures of the government are based on the foundation of the founding members of the Republic. Mainly speaking the Federal Republic of Malayka and 7th Republique De Metropole which once had one of the most progressive constitutions on Hassan with a functioning government prior to the war.

The Republic’s economy is under a currency system with a banking system that is similar to the way how old world economics occurred. They currently use the Republic Standard which is the main currency of the Republic, pegged to a Gold, Silver, and Copper standard. However it is an option to suspend one of the standards temporarily for 2 years max if they are unable to meet the reserve and availability needs. Alongside that, though fiat currency may occur, it is generally accepted that if the currency enters a fiat state, it is still trusted and for the most part done for economic availability for the people(the argument being expensive currency=inability to access currency for the masses). However this has only been done on one occasion and since then has never returned.

Loaning laws in the other hand, have pretty much resolved itself into a situation where the loan must at least own 45-65% of the thing they are going to purchase using the loan already in order not to be disowned of the item purchased. This is seen as what people would call “responsible loaning.” However, this is only done by the banks and legal loaners, there is a sizable loan shark black market that is consistently being cracked down by the Republic’s authorities.

At the moment, the Republic’s economy could be said to be a mixed capitalist system with the reason why it’s mixed is due to its regulations. The regulations often being seen as somewhat socialist to an extent by it’s economists, especially those who lean in the Santiago school of economics. Say the least though no one has been in the mood to change the economic system drastically in fears of causing a recession or depression no one could get out of for a long while.
