The Valtharyn are a race of dragon shifters who hold a revered place in the history and lore of Ashiaver. Their arrival and guidance helped shape the world, bestowing the gift of shapeshifting to other animal races and forever altering the balance of life on the planet.

All Tharyn original forms are large, feral dire-wolves, standing between 4 and 7 feet tall and weighing between 400-600lbs or more, depending on individual traits. This form grants them immense strength, agility, and heightened senses. They retain full control and awareness during their shifts, allowing them to make strategic decisions and navigate social dynamics even in wolf form. They retain any mutations and colors from human to wolf form.

In their human form, Tharyn often exhibit traits reminiscent of their wolf lineage, such as sharp, piercing eyes, enhanced senses, and a natural athletic build. Fur color in their wolf form typically mirrors their hair color, and any mutations or distinguishing characteristics are preserved across both forms (e.g., scars, birthmarks, eye color variations).

• Regeneration and Healing: Tharyn have enhanced healing abilities, allowing them to recover from injuries faster than most. While minor wounds may heal in hours, more severe injuries still require rest and care. Their regenerative abilities are heightened in dire-wolf form.

• Pheromonal Communication: Tharyn communicate not only through words and actions but also through pheromones. These chemical signals convey emotions such as fear, dominance, submission, and bonding, strengthening pack cohesion.

• Size and Build: In wolf form, Tharyn stand between 4 and 7 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh between 400 and 600 lbs or more, depending on the individual’s natural build, lineage, and lifestyle. Their size grants them immense physical power, speed, and resilience.
• Fur and Coloring: The Tharyn’s fur in wolf form typically matches the color of their hair in human form. Unique patterns, markings, or mutations—such as streaks of different colors, scars, or even magical runes—are reflected in both forms.
• Enhanced Senses: In wolf form, their senses of smell, sight, and hearing are greatly heightened, allowing them to detect scents over vast distances, see well in low light, and pick up subtle sounds. This makes them exceptional trackers, hunters, and protectors.

• Enhanced Immunity: Tharyn possess a robust immune system that makes them resistant to many diseases and toxins. This resistance extends to magickal diseases and some curses, although they are not completely immune to powerful magicks or poisons.
• Adaptation to Environment: Depending on their regional origin, Tharyn may have adaptations to extreme temperatures, climates, or other environmental factors, further enhancing their survival capabilities.
