Earth shaping is the base and first magic learned by aspiring earth mages, it is known by every fire mage and passed down through generations from teachers to students.

When cast with the simple exertion of will the ground around a caster becomes malleable and can be shaped and formed at their will with a series of gestures and the proper intent. At beginner levels, this can be as simple as creating mounds of dirt while at expert levels earth shaping can create complex shapes and forms such as walls, clay statues, hollow out hills into caves, etc.

Earth shaping is cast not with invocations but with simple intent, will, and proper gesturing with hands, hips, legs, and footwork.

The advanced forms of this spell are stone_shaping; A more specific form of earth shaping that makes hard stone materials as malleable as clay and is famous in the creation of structures, monuments, and is a component for the stone_set spell of stone armor.
