Station Omacron

Station Omacron is a Space Station in the Secunda Major System, operated primarily by the Mining Guild. Its inhabitants include members of the Guild, their families, as well as other governmental and corporations that were permitted to operate on the Station and in particular Secunda City the Capital of Secunda Major System.

About the Station

Station Omacron was built to provide the Mining Guild and anyone else who came to visit a home. A sanctuary from starships and a place to sleep when none of the planets were either known about (Frostopia) or made yet (Planet Prazoa) or even found their way into the system (Planet Pele). Though some of the ships had technology that allowed a faux bedroom to sleep in, or quarters. It was decided that having an actual bed, not in a Starship would be a better idea.

It was also set up as a convenient way-station for the trip to Sanctuary. Its second mission is to provide storage of goods from their Mobile Refineries to Black Wing Enterprises and beyond. The Station uses shields as well as weapons to defend the Station and the Capital City from flying asteroids, as well as any pirate or invading force.

Appearance

Station Omacron is a customized large floating structure in between the Second planet from the sun Planet Prazoa and the massive asteroid field. It looks like a small planetoid of rock with are a few protrusions at the tip acting as detection systems, cameras, and various other machines. At the bottom, multiple large docking centers extend from the sides and around the middle, each large enough to dock numerous vessels. There is a ring around the station attached to which were the agricultural module, as well as the docking bay.

History

Sometime after the Mining Guild’s arrival, they immediately started construction on a Habitat a Station that they can house everything from workers to employees of their corp and other corporations. To construct it, they used a similar technique to what they’d later use to create a planet. In this case, they brought in the mined asteroid husk and used gravity magic and technology to force them together, before they began carving into it and creating attachments, and made their way inside. Inside, they used technology to add the specific areas of the station, like the residential area and the industrial areas which were reinforced.

Station Systems

This section shows the information about the other info about the Station, mostly its electronic and defenses.

Computers and Electronics

AI

The Computer system uses a sentient Positronic Brain type AI that has named itself Securo Murakinos. It is considered the Second in command, something akin to a branch head of the Mining Guild directly under the Kurosaki sisters. It controls an avatar body as a way to truly be amongst the people living in the city as well as those working at the station.

It also has control over the Strazce primarily making sure they were doing what they were supposed to. As the result of the body's capabilities, it is able to father kids, which he has done, for Draco Murakinos.

Communications System

The inhabitants have the use of The New Dusk Conclave Standard Communication Systems specifically Quantum communication which sends signals to the comm buoy and instantaneously to all of the planets in NDC space and possibly beyond.

View

The ceiling above the heads of those living in the Habitat area of the Station has a magnificent view of the Yolus Nebula above them. This was because of the view screens, which were images projected from cameras outside. Those in observation areas and the Station Command center will also have views like this. Those who have homes with windows facing inward would only see the city, while those that do not will also have a view outside. Because the windows are screens similar to monitors or tv, there are no concerns over structural weaknesses.

Emergency Systems

A bank of, 40 Plazma Power Cores act as emergency power source in the event that the Mega plazma core's power cores die. This will ensure that comms, life support, and sensors continue to receive power for three weeks. On the off chance this fails, the station also uses a voltaic technology that absorbs the radiation from space to use for its power needs.

Life Support Systems

All Mining Guild ships and the Space Station have a primary respiratory system that allows for the production of Air to flow throughout the station, and further air is created via the use of oxygen rick rocks and other technology. Water is also filtered so that it's drinkable. The station and the homes within use Space Heaters to keep everyone nice and warm, especially so for the cold-blooded inhabitants. Smaller repair bots can be seen flying throughout Secunda City, as well as the rest of the Station, as they work to make repairs as needed. Apparitions are visible on the outside Observation areas of the Station itself.

Waste Disposal

Waste is transferred to a large tank where a huge magnet slides over the ceiling; metal items are picked up by this and are transported to a new tank. It is then where an advanced sorting system sorts the pieces into proper holes. The metal is smelted, and merges into what would normally be a giant ingot, had it all not been separated again before it entered the molds. The metal is sent to the various factories of the New Dusk Conclave to be made into new items.

Manure is dropped into large barrels that are transferred to farms or factories that can turn it into fertilizer. Broken electronics are taken apart, the metal joins the other metal, and the other materials follow suit in their respective compartments.

Other Life Support Systems

Besides the other Life support, some aqueducts transfer water, and flushing toilets, and working sinks. The water is quadruple filtered so that nothing, not even microbes, can contaminate water. The Salt in the water is sent to a different area where it is made for a new purpose. This allows the Citizens to drink water should they need to.

Exterior of the Station

The hull structure is composed of a combination Ultrite and a Special diamond-based coating. It has a layer of flexible gel that can fill in the space between the layers. The gel is also very resistant to kinetic forces, absorbing and spreading outward impacts throughout the jiggly substance. The gel is resistant to excess energy exposure (including magnetics) due to being composed of silicon-based materials and traces of rubber-like matter; it is not, however, immune to electromagnetic pulse weapons - it's simply more resistant than usual. Lastly, the gel is highly absorbent to heat - and will radiate it off over time - due to its composition.

Shield Systems

Spanning the entirety of the station's imposing structure, a marvel of advanced technology stood as the ultimate guardian: the formidable shield complex of Station Omacron. This awe-inspiring system formed an impenetrable barrier, enveloping the outpost in an invisible cocoon of protection, capable of withstanding the most devastating of assaults that the unforgiving expanse of space could muster.

Woven into the very fabric of the station's design, the shield complex was a testament to the pinnacle of scientific achievement. Its intricate network of energy emitters and projectors encased the outpost in a shimmering veil of energy, rendering it impervious to the ravages of enemy fire and cosmic hazards alike. Powered by an array of fusion reactors and cutting-edge power systems, the shield complex stood as a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of those who had constructed it.

But the true strength of the shield complex lay not only in its sheer power, but also in its adaptability. Equipped with advanced sensor arrays and predictive algorithms, the system could anticipate and counteract a myriad of threats in real-time, adjusting its parameters with lightning-fast precision to neutralize incoming attacks before they could breach the station's defenses.

As the last line of defense for Station Omacron, the shield complex stood as a symbol of security and resilience in the face of adversity. Whether facing down marauding pirates, volatile space storms, or otherworldly threats from the depths of the cosmos, the station could rest assured that its protective barrier would hold strong, ensuring the safety of all who dwelled within its hallowed halls.

Weapons Systems

Nestled strategically within the rugged expanse of the station's outer shell lay a network of formidable defenses, meticulously positioned to safeguard Station Omacron from the ever-looming threat of pirate incursions. Carefully emplaced amidst the harsh terrain of the rocky hull, these defensive installations formed an intricate web of protection, ensuring the security and stability of the outpost in the vast expanse of space.

At key vantage points encircling the station, a series of advanced weapon emplacements stood sentinel, their sleek and menacing forms blending seamlessly with the stark contours of the asteroid base. Each turret and cannon was meticulously calibrated, poised to unleash a torrent of firepower at any sign of hostile activity, ready to repel would-be attackers with overwhelming force.

But it was not only the outer perimeter that bristled with defensive capabilities. Beneath the sprawling infrastructure of Station Omacron, concealed from prying eyes, lay a secondary layer of defenses. Here, hidden from view, lay a network of subterranean weapon emplacements, strategically positioned to cover blind spots and protect vulnerable areas of the station. These hidden guardians remained ever vigilant, their presence known only to those entrusted with the station's defense.

Together, these carefully placed defenses formed an impenetrable shield around Station Omacron, deterring would-be raiders and ensuring the safety of those who called the outpost home. In the unforgiving depths of space, where danger lurked around every corner, the station stood as a beacon of security and strength, its defenses a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness of its inhabitants.
