Gerg is a company man through and through. He isn't the kind of person people remember, due to his crippling anxieties, aversion to conflict, and general mundanity. He has always been more of background furniture for the lives of more interesting people. Failing his entrance exam for his military service, he became a botanist to justify his identity as a Conglomerate Citizen to himself. He is quite comfortable in the box he put himself in, always mindful of the rules and never straying from his comfort zone

===== History =====

Born to a Janitor father and an Accountant mother, Greg grew up in a modest household. He was five the exodus began and found himself stigmatized and outcast due to the other kids' families contributing to the front lines. This seeded a deep insecurity that would later manifest as a neurotic social anxiety. He wanted to belong so badly that he began suppressing himself to fit in.

Later when he was of age for service, his aversion to conflict and anxiety caused him to fail his entrance examination. Devastated and on the verge of neurotic collapse, he found salvation in an accelerated Botany Career Program for the Conglomerate.

Having been told to report to a military ship. Greg found himself crashlanded on the plannet Ashiaver having survived with an unexpected and mysterious power. The planets wild magics had somehow bound to his soul and was slowly tearing it apart.
===== Appearance =====

Greg is the kind of guy you have met many times, held full conversations with, and still find it hard to recall his face. His average looking face, poor posture, and generic clean cut appearance make him look more like an extra in a movie as opposed to a fleshed out person. 

He wears a well kept combover, clean shaven face, and a standard white collar working mans attire that is ever so slightly to large on him. The only piece of his attire that stands out is a small keychain that houses a tiny vile of blue algae.


===== Personality =====

Greg is agoraphobic and is deeply terrified of conflict, so much so he will gladly submit in any situation that may cause social conflict; his greatest fear being ostracized by the community. Having been brought up by the Conglomerate so much of his identity and self worth is integrated into it.

When he has free time he tries to stay as busy as possible. He enjoys cleaning and organizing his space. When his place is to his liking he will read Conglomerate history, self help books, and the occasional light adventure novel. He also enjoys the art of origami and will often make them in between moments of his next tasks.

Rarely does he spend time reflecting. When he does it's often episodes of intense anxiety for fear of rejection. He sometimes feels as though his life is trapped in mundanity, but often copes by assuring himself of his station in life. He is very careful to not step out of line, let his thoughts tray, or wander outside the confines of the existential box he put himself in.
