====== Templates ======

Consistency is important in making our wiki an easy to place to create and navigate. Many of our wiki's sections have automatic templates, but sometimes you're making something that doesn't fit. This article is here to help.

A major goal with **any** of our templates is to keep them simple and quick-to-read. Templates can include any number of //optional// sections, but required sections should be limited to those that are absolutely critical to other player's abilities to use the content. An information table should hold most of the important data.

To make a new template, simply make a new article in this namespace and then add the link below. A template even exists for your templates to help get things started.

To make things easier, we try to nest things inside of the appropriate categories.

Characters go in the characters: namespace, for example. We can //further// make things easier by also including their Nation. So an NDC character would be characters:ndc:character_name. An independent character would be characters:independent:character_name. The same applies for vessels and weapons.

As locations can change hands, we instead do locations by nearest neighbor. IE, locations:solar_system:planet.

Groups inside of a Nation would be nations:ndc:group.

And so on.
