Additionally, it contains captured water vapor and methane.

These diverse gases interact with starship shields, causing them to change into a variety of colors when passing through or near the nebula. This phenomenon not only provides a stunning visual display but also serves as a navigational aid for starships traversing the region.

Located approximately 1500 light-years from the [[locations:secunda_major]], the Yolus Nebula is a prominent feature visible from the skies above the planets in the system.
