 The M5 Gladius Personal Defense Weapon System is the standard firearm series used by the [[nation:bts:bamf]]. They are magazine fed and typically fire 4.3 mm caseless rounds. While it is not required, as the ammunition type used is caseless, the Gladius uses a slide system as a recoil buffer for better control and fire rate. In addition, it's frame was designed for ruggedness and reliabitility with over 1000 successful shots in all adverse enviroments including zero-g. However it is somewhat limited by its weight. One of the favoured attachments is a underslung launcher, capable of firing a 12 gauge shotgun shell, a 20mm grenade, a climbing hook, flares and other exotics materials. Magazines are available in 10 single stack, 20 double stack and 30 extended magazines.
