The Psyche class Positronic Brain

The Psyche Class Positron Brain was created by Corp/entities on a deal for a few of the communities within the Project Multiverse Universe.¹⁾

The Positronic Brain is an extremely sophisticated piece of technology, which comprises an artificial Neural Network, designed to imitate the humanoid brain. ²⁾ The technology was based on the Operator’s mind. As such, while their mind will think and feel like a human mind, their subconscious will be able to handle tasks much like a computer would. This makes them great at multitasking, and as AI, their reaction time is greatly increased.

The AI can learn skills fairly quickly compared to their organic counterparts, where a human might need to see a thing repeatedly the AI just needs to see it once. They will also be able to learn a new language by hearing it spoken, rather than simply being programmed.

The AI will have perfect hand, optic coordination, and depending on how they were built, they will be able to interact with things such as a chair easily.

The Positron Brain is composed of Burial Steel as well as Iridium Crystals. These are Data Crystals that allow AI to think and react to things. ³⁾

The Positronic brain is compatible with most processes that create an AI, however, it is recommended that the programming is a brain neural scan that is directly scanned from a human, or near human brain, preferably a cloned brain, or someone deceased. This is because the neural copied brain will take a much shorter time to load.

Burial Steel has souls contained within it because of the process to create it. This means that the Burial Steel will affect the psyche of the positron brain. It’s the combined memory and personality of the species up to the last place the steel was used. So not only would the souls and innate knowledge have mild effects on the personality, the use affects the steel’s personality.

This means that the soul’s original emotions will transfer because the Positron Brain will allow for the AI to have an Emotional Capacity, from the positive emotions of happiness, love, and bliss to the negative, such as anger and sadness. The Human side can enhance this.

In extension to where the AI may say or do things that the original Senti might have, as well as the programmed mind. Another example would be if the AI was a Combat type AI they might also create things. Whether this would be true art or items that could be used remains to be seen.

Burial steel, as part of the brain, will allow the AI to have access to knowledge. This knowledge will be up to the point that the last place that the steel was used. But the important thing to note is that the knowledge of the mind is not the knowledge of the body. The knowledge that the owner of the Positron Brain will be something like what can be found in a net search, but it’s all first-hand sources and none of it’s collated down.

A person can learn how to build a starship engine from 500 willing people, but none of them can interact physically. There is a saying; knowledge is nothing without practice, which also includes the ability to speak any language that the Senti speaks. Unless there is practice, doesn’t mean mind, vocal cords, and tongue are okay wrapping themselves around the syllables and tones.

This knowledge manifests as hallucinations that the souls give you because they don’t speak to the person asking. ⁴⁾

It showed the effect of the Burial Steel as Hallucinations that are visual to the user. They can manifest as shared or single-person visual hallucinations, or they can bend the rules of reality if you get a bunch in one place. One example would be getting into a fistfight and hallucinating a hundred different ways to counter simultaneously and having to choose one shadow to follow on the fly and hope it works.
