Nehebkau, Apophis, Vritra & Renenet: The primary gods to the Frisian people; and most importantly living deities, the Frisian have grown to worship the giant immortal sand serpents that tower over their temples as not only their gods but also their protectors from the dangerous Wyrms that live under the earth and prey on anyone they might find out on the sands. But these serpents have always come to the aid of humans, fending off the demonic beasts and sending them back to the depths of the underworld where they belong. In order to aid their deities in the fight against these monsters, the Frisian have built numerous; near life size temples and statues for places of worship and to help ward off the Wyrms in various places across the desert. Attempting to harm, threaten or even speaking ill of snakes, especially using their names in a negative light often warrants swift and harsh punishment. When the serpent's do kill people whether intentional or not, the Frisian trust in their gods judgement.
The birth of a god; It is said that roughly about once every 3-500 years or earlier should one of the gods ever perish the gods will come together and create a new serpent, and an egg will be lain. The location of this egg may vary, and since gods do not tend to their young like other creatures might it is up to the Frisian to find it and return it to their temple to look after, until it hatches and then continue until it is large enough to fend for itself. Typically the Sandscouts and Relic hunters keep an eye out for any sign there may be an egg while they're out on their journeys.
