A people united together by the shared experiences of their past struggls and having overcome them together and uniting for the whole rather than dwell on the slights of their past. This planet, named //Claret// became a paradise for the arts, education, thaumaturgy, and all-around progress and entered a golden age of peace and tranquility where all its people could experience growth and succor without worry. At its peak, however, this would all change when one soltice the lone moon of Claret rose into the sky as a scarlet visage of its normal pale yellow self as the moon literally //bled// in the sky like an open, weeping wound and covered the entire world in a scarlet-tinted darkness where the only light was that now red orb hanging in the skies like an omen. In the first hours the peoples of Claret concerned as they were experienced a growing sense of unease and anxiety that eventually grew into an undismissable sense of paranoia that crept into the very psyche as neighbors shuttered their homes from one another and even the closest of families or lovers eyed one another in suspicion and paranoia as tensions crept. When the sun did not rise the following morning people grew concerned. When the moon still hung solitary day and night for a fortnight they began to go slowly insane. The effects of the blood moon drove weak minded men into fits of lunacy upon standing exposed in its light for too long as they would begin to laugh uncontrolably, scratch their skin raw until it bled, mumur or babbel incoherently to themselves, or simply lose their minds altogether. When it became too much to bear, the leaders of Claret decided to discover first hand the cause of the worry phenomina.
