The homeworld of the Vaigarin and Tumnisian peoples, this world is of a similar disposition to your typical 'earth-like' planet, but with a few caveats.  The first being the megafauna that exist, which could technically include the Vaigarin themselves when the race is in their draconic form.  Orbited by two moons ([[locations:sanctuary:sirris_ii:vaigrif]] being the larger, and [[locations:sanctuary:sirris_ii:eshilgan]] being the smaller), but they're smaller than Earth's own and sit in a near similar orbit.

When the NDC found themselves looking for a new home, they found the world nearly perfect for settling themselves properly once more.  Now serving as the capital for the New Dusk Conclave with [[locations:sanctuary:sirris_ii:obsidian_city]], the world has begun to climb out into space and grow.

===== History =====

As the world from which the [[species:vaigarin]] and [[species:tumnisian]] evolved, and more recently the newly established capital world of the [[shards:ndc]], this world has become a focal point of establishing political growth.

The local history extends for some forty thousand years, but most of the more comprehensive and details materials are only some 5 thousand years of record.  Much of this is due to the Tumnisian's attempting to record things, but a fair margin of the material recovered in old records and storehouses are hard to decipher the facts from the legends and myths laced throughout them.  The Vaigarin are less inclined towards keeping physical records, which makes these older histories harder to determine.

But, physical examinations of the two sentient races shows an evolutionary cold war between them.  Tumnisians are very quick to notice and identify those who don't quite fit in.  This has resulted in more than a few purges of populations over the millennia, but the exact reasons are unclear for why these occurred.

With the Vaigarin Family structure and their system of rivalries, large clashes are uncommon, as often Tumnisians keep themselves tied to the Vaigarin from which they've established their cultures around.

Then, in 3450 GC, the [[shards:ndc]]'s ships arrived in orbit.  While the planet of Sirris II had experienced stellar visitors before ([[species:senti]] being a prime example of this), this was the first time a race was choosing to settle here that wasn't native.

They would enter talks with the Vaigarin Family nearest their landing zone, the Bahum Family, and establish Obsidian City in an area that the NDC felt they could defend themselves in after they experienced the native predator species in action.  After a time, they would move to establish a second city, so as to not have all their resources devoted in one area, and to allow for more to be brought down safely.

Thus Skylador was established, but instead of being a purely NDC city, it was established as a 'melting pot' of local Tumnisian construction into the underground, and NDC construction above, with a blending of the two culture's aesthetic design for each of the buildings, allowing for those with Geists to see the full augmented reality splendor of the city, while those without can still navigate and learn their way around with buildings that are identifiable.
