====== Pine Springs ======
The City of Pine Springs was named after Jack Pine,  and it is named for the abundance of Hot springs, as well as additional other sources of spring water which had formed after the arrival of water, after the strategic bombardment, and other impacts. 

===== Geography and Climate =====
The Settlement is located in a mountainous region of [[locations:planet:prazoa]]. This means that volcanic heat can come up and affect certain spring water deposits. This developed into hot springs. The heat has somewhat flowed throughout the town, but it isn't bad since the waters have tempered it as had the cool air in the environment.
Due to the location being rockier than plant, those individuals skilled with working with stone, have made the area more of a marble stone city, though still with a comfort of a city.

====== History =====
Originally the City of Pine Springs was set up as a way to use the hot springs for relaxation. It was also set up so that there were homes for people to move into so that the other cities are not overcrowded. While some places on the planet have seen use in movies and tv shows, Pine Springs has also seen visitors from that career as actors and actresses, as well as directors and producers. This was because of the Hot Springs that allow a chance for relaxation and comfort.

The Hot Springs became so desired, that other places in the System and beyond desired to have their own, which can be constructed.

The Central area of Pine Springs is where the plaza is where the Mayer of the city gives important announcements, and it's where people can sit by the fountains. The places of work and the government are within walking distance as are the hotels.

===== Commercial District =====
Pine Springs has the usual set of businesses, [[city:locations:Pleasure_Palace]], restaurants, bars, stores that sort of thing, but thanks to its uniqueness, it also has a new kind of business in the hot springs. Here people can go and soak in heated water, which seems to have a healing quality to it.

==== Hot Springs ====
Hot Springs are springs produced by the emergence of geothermally heated groundwater onto the surface of a planet. The groundwater is heated either by shallow bodies of magma (molten rock) or by circulation through faults to hot rock deep in the Earth's crust. In either case, the ultimate source of the heat is the radioactive decay of naturally occurring radioactive elements in the Earth's mantle, the layer beneath the crust.

The hot spring water often contains large amounts of dissolved minerals in addition to acid sulfate springs with a pH as low as 0.8, to alkaline chloride springs saturated with silica, to bicarbonate springs saturated with carbon dioxide, and carbonate minerals. Some springs also contain abundant dissolved iron. People make use of these hot springs for bathing, relaxation, or medical therapy.
Thanks to magical technology, the Hot Springs are prevented from harming people who come to visit.

On Stations, habitat sections operate similarly. While it would be impossible to use a planet’s heat, magic runes can cause some of the same effects, allowing for hot springs to be created in orbiting habitats.

Residents can live in Hotels, Apartments as well as homes, which like the environment are made of marble stone.
