====== Magic within the UNS ======
This page details the types of magic within the [[shards:uns]]s and what and how they do it.

Magic is the ability to control the Supernatural energy of things. A spell could change a person's appearance, cause them injury, or do a variety of effects. Within the [[shards:uns]] are systems, and technically these are nations all of their own rights, and the nations within the UNS each have their own brand of magic.

==== Animalian Magic ====
The [[.species:animadae|Animalians]] have magic users amongst them while the chief amongst them were the Beserkers, there were a great deal of Shamans amongst them.
=== Beserkers ===
Berserker is a state in which the being, in this case, Animalian turns to their animal side, leaving behind their sentience. They do this by going into a magically induced, trance-like state. Their agility is enhanced, as are their claws if they had them or a bladed weapon. The Blades are given a field of energy that enhances their sharpness.
The Trance state allows the Berserker to fight until it is killed, or until it becomes severely tired. In the Animalia’s past, Berserkers were a lot more common than Shamanism, as it seemed that before the King arrived everyone was a Berserker.
===Shamans ===
Shamans are magic users that have magic that could be used for multiple roles. Shamans who are skilled with divination and prophecy may concern themselves with the outcome of hunting, relocating lost things, determining the root causes of communal discontent and ill will, and even possibly predicting the future. Though the future prediction is a rare skill that hasn’t shown itself for millennia. Years before the Unification of all Species into one government, it was the shamans who were custodians of the sacred medicine bundles containing objects and materials endowed with great mystery and power.

Shamans were often consulted at any time of sickness or communal misfortune. Shamans are in tune with the spirit world, and these spirit guides come to the aid of Shamans, helping them in their work. Natural causes were recognized for many diseases, especially physically curable ones; others were commonly believed to be the result of intrusion into the body of objects placed there by sorcerers. The shaman healer's treatment of such diseases was dictated by their guardian spirit. 

Some dark magic can cause illness as a result of spirit loss, making the Shaman enter the spirit world to find the patient’s spirit, and reintroduce it to the body.

Shamans offer healing techniques for those suffering from emotional, mental, and physical pain. Often, such techniques include connecting with spirit guides, negative energy extraction, holistic remedies, engaging with nature, and spiritual cleanses. Similar to their ancestors, modern shamans also perform rites of passage ceremonies, including births, marriages, and deaths.
[[species:animadae]] Specifically, Lion species of the kings family line have a roar that can dispell effects of Beserker states as well as demon possession((unless a pact was made and that the body they inhabited was one they were allowed to possess.)). 
==== Demon Magic ====
While demons don’t have a system of  their own, they do come from a dimensional plane of existence called the Underworld. They live in the UNS as a result of a pact that Maylis created for the government.  Demons use Dark magic primarily though there are multiple different kinds of demons. Heritage don’t matter to demons, a half Demon could still be strong and powerful if their demon parents let them.
=== Dark Magic ===
Dark magic has curses, causing a loss of a physical or mental attribute on an individual. It can turn someone into an animal or beast, or cause a serious injury. Demons can also use dark magic to give immortality to someone.
=== Posession ===
Demons with the right rituals, or conditions can possess and take over  persons body and use it like their own((They can do the same to a body specifically made from them)). The body will be able to do things it couldn’t before like jump extremely high. 
=== Demon Enhancement ===
Demons can cause something of a person to be enhanced whether its strength or intelligence through their magic. 
=== Pacts ===
Demons can make patched with Witches and other Magic users for benefits that it may give them.
==== Zuphin Magic ====
[[species:zuphin]] rebels used every advantage that they could in order to defeat their dark masters. Mages are at the top of their desires and as a result of breeding for it. Zuphin are capable of using magic predominantly the type of magic they can use is [[https://technomancy101.com/ |Technomancy]] and with it those practiced in its use can do many things with regard to machinery.

Instinctually they know how to fix a damaged machine, and how it might be enhanced if they wanted to. with the ability to fix and enhance machinery with magic. They are also able to resurrect Synthetics even when their power core was damaged severely and return to the fight. Their [[shards:uns:military:mechas:oberon|Mech]]’s control and activation was an example of this kind of magic.  a Technomage might create a robot in which they channel their magic through.

The [[locations:kalis]] has a few who have magical powers and while some are still learning there are many who are very skilled.
=== Artificer ===
As a result of Tarkus’s influence, [[characters:uns:sachiko]] has started her way to becoming an Artificer, fusing her tech savant skills with her burgeoning magical one.  So far she has created a few Articifer items. Such as the Vitals Sensor Band, and the accidental creation of Spirit Fuser.

Whiskers, the creation and pet of Sachiko as the ability to breath fire from the dog’s mouth.

Angels are the holy Offspring of gods and goddess, and they are gifted with Holy Magic. This magic is able to hurt evil, and evil aligned beings. Recently Tarkus’s sisters who have become Angels themselves have joined the Kalis system and Eselberg Station and have put their magic to the system’s magic users.

Sentient [[species:isferatos|Isferatos]] have the ability to use their own brand of magic where they can manipulate shadows and use it to aid them in battle. There is only one Sentient Isferatos in the Kalis system and the whole of the UNS.
