====== UNS Character Creation Guide ======

===== UNS  =====
The United Alliance of Neutral Systems ([[shards:uns|UNS]]) is an alliance of systems that have chosen to join together for mutual economic prosperity and combined defense that provides safety to the systems they can defend. They are ruled by a council, which shares power equally, with the rulers or governors of the systems, followed by the heads of corporations, and a representative of their military, which is known as a Defense Force rather than a typical military. 

Another thing of note is that it’s been around for a while, though probably isn’t older than some of the other nations, despite some members being as old as the universe ((Not literally)). 

The Alliance has three systems within its borders and those are

==== History ====
For the Full history look [[shards:uns#history|here]] as the History may be important as your character might actually have been at the scene at certain historic events.
=== Military ===
The UNS military is known as the UNS Defense Force. Its primary purpose is to protect the systems in the territory. In times of war, the military will not leave the territory to fight,  as the nation prefers peace and they feel that invading another system and fighting will not be conducive to that peace. 
if players wish to take part in war, with their UNS characters they are allowed to, however, the UNS will not support them. They will have to be supported by the nation they joined to take part in the fight or be very careful. The UNS will also not hand them over if a nation wants them unless there is proof that the character was taking part in piracy.
===== Creating a Character =====
==== Names ====
In terms of names, there isn’t really a limit to what you want your character's name to be. The [[species:zuphin|Near Humans]] have a name generator that I have chosen for them, that feels like it might work if you have trouble thinking up names. The [[species:animadae|Animalians]] can be names that you’d give pets, or have African origins, which has been used for the characters of the Lion King and the Lion Guard.  For characters of a different [[species:start]] other than the main two, also including Demons, of which are a higher percentage in the [[locations:kalis]]. The names could also be Japanese, Chinese, or even Norse-related.

But please if you are going to be naming your characters, please be sensible. Names that won't be allowed are 

  * Any rude or derogatory terms. ((I know that in the anime "The Rise of the Shield Hero, there are two characters now called Bitch and Trash, those are what I mean))
  * No names that are actually a body part.
  * Nothing that comes from the body ((Organs, or specific bodily liquids either))
  * Canon character names ((Project Multiverse does not have canon characters everyone is an original character while some names of the cartoons or TV shows might be interesting, please do not use those characters full names, The First is fine.))

==== Age ====
Age is an important thing in a character, this is because age helps to detail what the character has done, in their life, how long they have been living for. 

=== Zuphin (Near Human) Ages ===
Most adult Zuphin were those refugees fleeing war on refugee ships. The oldest Zuphin is 90 years old, however, there are only 4 who are that old. This is because a lot of the older Zuphin sacrificed themselves for their people so that they can escape. Those who were kids during this would now be in their 20’s minimum. The First generation colonists are just entering elementary school.

=== Animalian (Anthro) ages) ===
Different Animalian species have different aging rates compared to other species. Much like their animal ancestors, A 14-year-old dog, or cat is a 78-year-old in races such as humans. Because of this, there will likely be different species of Animalian that may be mature more than some others might be. 

Players hoping to play an Animalian should keep this in mind and it may do them well to use [[https://www.easycalculation.com/other/fun/human-animal-years-age-conversion.php|this page]] as it may help them.
==== Species ====
First, I’d like to begin by saying that the UNS is welcoming of all species, so long as they won't be hostile to other species.  In addition, to following the NDC’s stance, Synthetics (Robots, Androids, Gynoids, Bio Androids, etc) are given the same rights and freedoms that the other inhabitants have, and assault to them is the same crime as an attack on any organic species. 

Also, Kalis System’s own Sachiko Therwood will likely upgrade and enhance Synthetics to fight back and overpower any who dare attack it and Sachiko had gotten the UNS government to agree to this law, with such passion and grace.

Currently, three races make the UNS home and those are.

  * **Demons** ([[species:isferatos|Isferatos]], Blood Demons, Kitsune, Succubus, and Nekomata]]
  * **Elves**
  * **Hybrids** (Half Elf-half Nekomata, and Near human Anthros)

==== Personality ====
In my experience Personality is one of the hardest parts of a character, this is because for new from the start characters the creator might not have thought their character's personality through as much a other parts. As a really great man, has said in the CCG he has made for the conglomerate 
<blockquote> They have hopes, and dreams, as well as aspirations, and fears all the same; And should all be considered when making a character. </blockquote> I also agree with his questions which are listed below.

  * What are my character's goals in life?
  * What is my character afraid of?
  * What is their greatest strength and weakness? 

I also want to add, you may want to think of habits they may have and you might add something for yourself too, for example, I have this habit of not realizing when in a thread my character should be speaking, which ends up being a thread of action and reaction. As a result, I have a line where I mention things like how she tends to speak only when she feels she has something important to say.
==== Body ====
=== Appearance ===
The appearance section of a character sheet was the section I found easiest as this allowed me to describe how my character looked. Sometimes I would find a picture and describe how the person in that picture looked, sometimes I’d use my imagination or simply parts copied from old characters.  
More recently, with the advantage of having characters that were the daughter of two characters I’d be able to use parts of what other writers have written since some of the parents' appearance would be inherited in their children.
==== Skills ====
The skills section is reserved for the various skills that a character might have. Skills such as walking, or running, as well as reading and writing, aren’t required to be added. The skills that go here are those that the character has learned, trained, and possibly mastered. 

=== Magic ===
Magic is quite common in the UNS, between the demons, and the elves, and so on. Magic is very common and in abundance. It can be taught via almost any source, (Though primarily the instructors are demons) and the skill in the use of magic depends on the individual.  There may be those who are savant when it comes to magic. 

Currently, the types of magic in the UNS are 
  * Witch Magic
  * Artificer

===== Language =====
The UNS speaks the Gatekeepers language, as well as a language translated to being called common used by the Zuphin. Animalians communicate via specific pheromones and vocal sounds common in their animal ancestors.
