====== Ires Mahakali ======

Hecatoncheires (Ires) Elil Mahakali, otherwise known as Temperance, is a second generation [[bts:augur|augur]] specializing in telekinesis. She is distinguished for her exceptional patience and level-headedness.

===== History =====

Following her awakening as a part of the second generation of the [[bts:augur]], Ires displayed abnormally low discomfort and levels of stress, going so far as to show concern for the physicians who administered the procedures turning her
into an augur. 

She served in the [[nation:bts:bamf|Babel Armed Military Force]] (BAMF) under the callsign: Temperance.

Shortly before the events of The Ghost of Asheville, Ires received a new post in Asheville as a participant in a confidential military program overseen by [[nation:bts:oia]]. The program selected a handful of highly stable augurs, and is designed to condition them for civilian contracts as a solution for retiring augurs from military service. 

She is currently working at a restaurant and bar called Hiranyagharba.

===== Appearance =====

  *Sharp, lime coloured eyes with a soft glow to them, she uses special contact lenses to hide the glow.

  *She has ivory skin with a smooth complexion with the exception of various scars from her military background; she has always taken skin care quite seriously.

  *Her blonde hair is short-mid length and braided to the back in a low ponytail.

  *182cm tall with a moderate build and defined musculature.

  *Although she didn't have a chance to explore it until recently, a great interest in fashion and makeup inspires her preference for pricey, chic clothing and various accessories, including many ear piercings. She wears vibrant and striking makeup typically in blues, yellows, oranges, or reds.

  *Ires is an amputee, she has cybernetic leg prosthetics made from composite plastics and metal. Despite her original arms being amputated she uses her telekinesis alongside arm-length gloves to create the functionality and illusion of the natural arms she lost, removing her gloves reveals the lack of arms beneath.


===== Personality =====

  *Bashful: A well placed compliment is a quick way to get on her good side. Ires reacts to praise and compliments with sheepishness and stifled joy. She is particularly proud of her newfound fashion sense. 

  *Calm: Ires excels when under pressure. As opposed to most augurs, who showed immense mental instability after awakening, she responds to tense situations with sometimes unsettling placidity.

  *Compassionate: Ires makes an effort to be kind and supportive to others, occasionally to a fault.

  *Contrary: She often acts in ways inconsistent with her inner feelings, and has no problem misleading people to achieve a desired outcome.

  *Patient: Sometimes the best thing to do is just wait. After 30 years in conscious cryostasis and 10 years serving in the military, Ires is finally getting the chance to live something close to a normal life. A chance she worked hard to get from the moment she was removed from cryostasis.

  *Social: Life is more fun with friends around you. Ires loves talking to people, and always tries to connect, and fit in with people around her.



===== Telekinesis & Hypergeometry =====

Ires specializes in telekinesis as an Esper, using a highly localized telekinesis that she explains: "Has the same fundamental function and dynamics as your arms."
She can manifest many of these "arms," at a time, in various shapes and sizes, and sustain them for long periods of time. During military service, she primarily used telekinesis to wield multiple tools and weapons at a time that are normally impractical to wield for a foot-soldier due to bulk, weight and various other factors, without sacrificing mobility. 

A staple in her arsenal is a large shield she used to act as a defensive vanguard in her unit. 

As of the most recent recording of her abilities, she is able to sustain ten arms for the purpose of carrying and operating heavy weaponry for up to eight hours. By reducing the size,
or number of arms active she can increase the number of arms or their power 
respectively. Due to the high physicality of the arms, they are restricted to performing tasks that an arm of the size, shape and power she conjures could; A high powered arm would be quite large and wouldn't be able to fit through tight spaces, a small and long arm may be able to reach through tight spaces but it would be unable to lift a large crate.

Aside from telekinesis she holds a basic understanding of other applications of
hypergeometry such as matter shaping, static manipulation, clairvoyance, etc.

  *Calculation: As an [[bts:augur|augur]], Ires possesses aptitude for superhuman calculation. Combined with her rational, and patient nature she can act on well meditated decisions even in the most tense moments.

  *Fighting: Standard [[nation:bts:bamf|BAMF]] military training, supplemented with [[bts:augur]] training.

  *Heavy Weaponry: Ires can effectively operate heavy weaponry even while on the move using her telekinesis.

  *Hypergeometry: Military training in basic application of hypergeometry, including a specialization in telekinesis.

  *Mixology: Currently employed as a bartender and waitress.
