+Makoto is an ancient warrior now serving Eselberg Station as its chief of security.

+A millennia ago, in an Era long before the gates shut down for maintenance Makoto was born to the Inei Clan. A Clan of warriors known in some cases and in certain media, as Ninja.  Born as a member of the lower branch of the clan, she was no less raised as a warrior, the clan were enlightened, so to speak, gender didn’t matter as they knew women were capable of fighting as well as housework so those desiring to fight and be warriors were allowed to do so.

+The training was considered as basic as any subject so while she attended school, to learn such subjects as math, and things of that nature, she was kicking butt in training. Makoto learned to strengthen her mind, and guard it so that should she be captured, she couldn’t spill secrets to anyone no matter how much they tortured her.

+Life was grueling, as the world she was born in, didn’t have advanced technology, it was a feudal world of the Medieval Era.
+As she grew, the difficulty grew, she continued to strengthen her mind, read books, used her brain, and began using the strategy as her mind matured.  One day boys stole her clothing after she showered from a swimming lesson, this meant she had to either find an adult to help her, or return home naked. She chose to use this as an opportunity for training, using stealth she hunted the boys retrieved her clothes, and beat them up.
+Word spread so the other kids decided against messing with her.  As she continued to grow, she continued learning, how to fight and as time passed, she learned how to kill. Then when she turned 18, the world discovered that life existed outside their world, but their people had to deal with a threat in the form of [[species:Isferatos|Shadow Demons]] These monstrous demons attacked the clan, and the settlement, new Shadow Demons were born, but one of them, tried to take possession of her mind. The demon found it difficult, and Makoto began dominating the demon, and eventually, she took it, and as a result, she became a [[species:shadowkin]]. Shadowkin, were, of course, one of the Universes' legendary Shadow Demon killers capable of destroying the shadow demons.  She discovered that she could move at a much faster rate, and she found that she could channel new power into her blade, which severed the life of the Shadow Demons.
+Unfortunately, as her clan was in the throes of transformation into new Shadow Demons, she had to kill them.  Eventually, Makoto was the sole survivor of the clan. At a cost of power, she lost her family and was alone.  Fortunately, her clan taught her how to survive, and she spent time in the clan's home, before going out into the world.
+She knew that there were more Shadow Demons so she decided to hunt them down. During her journey, her clothes began getting damaged, from demon attacks, and from bandits, but she discovered that she could create a shadow illusion of clothes out of shadows, which saved a lot on her repair bills and laundry.
+As the war continued, others began noticing and she began gaining a reputation, as a hero, and someone worthy of note.  Leaders began contacting her when demons were noticed, and she’d go in to clear them out.  Eventually, in her twenties, she began settling down and had children, but as time passed, she began noticing that her husband and children aged, but she never did.  She noticed that she remained in her prime, and peak strength, and people began noticing that too. Her kids used to get teased about their mother never aging passed 18.
+Once again, she had to say goodbye to her family, so she decided to never marry or have children. What was worse was that she’d lost the clan’s learning techniques, thus her kids weren’t as great as her clan was. She still loved her kids, and did her best to protect them.
+Finally, after a very long time, the Shadow demons were no longer on her home world, and her people were able to grow and develop in peace.  As before Makoto continued to live, even as everyone grew and died, and even as technology developed she remained, though Makoto learned from these technologies in order to better fit into society.
+Eventually, by the world’s 25th Era, the species developed space travel, and Makoto decided she will go up into space. Science dictated that eventually the star will go supernova, and destroy the world, so she wanted to be off it before that happened. Plus, she was still looking for love and hoped that there might be an alien race that is long-lived, that she may not say goodbye.
+Eventually, on a station in some backwater system, she discovered Shadow demons and once more she destroyed them.  The Victim she saved, thanked her for her aid, and later invited her to her home, where Makoto was told about what she was, how Makoto was a Shadowkin a culture, not so much a race. She was also told of a stronghold, she’ll likely be able to enter, and took a shuttle there.
+Her friend was correct, she was able to enter the stronghold, and she learned from its database, everything she needed, filling the gaps in her knowledge and she was able to use what she learned to better prepare herself.
+Eventually, she left the stronghold, as it was in major damage, and was soon breaking apart. During her journey, she heard rumors of a group of demons. Thinking these might be Shadow Demons, she chose to travel towards their direction. But it turns out they weren’t Shadow demons at all, but Succubae and Incubae. By now she’d heard of the other kinds of demons, and though Succubae and incubate were certainly dangerous((though in hindsight, not as dangerous as she was)) she decided she wasn’t as interested in killing them. Plus it helped that they could be negotiated with. This meant that she could leave them, and Lucas on good terms. She thought he was cute, and both he and Lucina were fascinating.
+Using an aging shuttle, Makoto spent her time hunting Shadow Demons, though after meeting Lucas she’d had to fight other Succubus and Incubus as well as other demons.  But the shuttles out of date tech did cause problems for her. That is until she discovered another Shadowkin outpost,  in this one, she discovered a ship.  The outpost called it Shadowlight and that the Shadowkin built it using tech and magic, and from what she saw, it was in perfect working order, as if their magic would keep it updated in good working order.
+Makoto discovered she’d have to complete a psychological and physical trial before she could even enter and use the ship. This trial took years for her to complete, that it was 5 years since she entered the outpost.  She learned further what she could about her people’s techniques before she took the new ship out for a test drive.
+Shadowlight was better than the old shuttle, quicker, and more powerful.  The ship allowed her to find her targets easier, and she started using it for bounty hunting.  She eventually reunited with Lucas and Lucina, and met Melissa as well, and she had a sexual encounter with the succubus and Incubus before she once more left them to find her targets.
+Unfortunately the gates soon closed, making travel much more difficult, and the search for Shadow demons were found fruitless.  So she got the ship to a safe space, and meditated, going to a state where time could pass and she would not be harmed.  Untill the gates reopened again, time had passed on be after this happened, and Lucas contacted her, telling her about the Witch he pacted to. Since she was technically a demon she thought she should check her out, plus maybe join them. She had begun to feel that traveling alone was lonely, plus with them all being a long lived race, she won't see them die of old age.
+So she joined Lucas and Elenor, and participated in the fight to claim a station in [[locations:kalis]] as their base of operations. Melissa soon joined them afterwards, and then the Therwood clan joined, and so did additional people.

+Makoto is a product of her upbringing, she strives to be a bit of a perfectionist. She hopes for the admiration and respect of those important to her and hopes that Elenor and Lucas wouldn’t ever have a need to speak so bluntly with her due to her mistakes. She’s generally with a humble personality. This humility will not allow her to boast about her accomplishments or say anything about how great she was, and would likely blush if told this about herself from another person. Because she dislikes boasting, she tends to not speak unless she was absolutely sure it was something she wished to say.

+How she treats others would have likely depended on who they were. If they were children, she’ll be kinder to them, and make sure they stay safe, anyone else, she’ll likely treat how they treated her. As she had trained and grew as a [[species:shadowkin]], she generally follows their culture in how they do things.

+Makoto has been gifted with the skills and the technical knowledge required operating a computer. These skills allow her to write reports and things without the need to look at the keyboard, and she is able to do so at a much faster rant than most beginners to intermediate.  She has begun training herself in the use of hacking.

+Makoto has trained extensively in the Ninjutsu style of Martial arts, and  [[wp>ninjutsu]].  Some might say she has a Master’s skill in the martial arts but Makoto won’t acknowledge this.

She is a beginner in cooking, however, and should not be trusted to create something using food.
